In Ergotech’s different production plants are used 6, 4 and 3 axes robots according to the product and the customer’s requirements.
According to the features of each single machining, laser welding systems is also applied and the assembly lines can be completely or partially automated.
When a hundred per cent production control is required, Ergotech employs a Visual Inspection Systems, an automated control system which checks that each single manufactured product respects its specification.
Production Systems
For each single production area, design, layout and process are internally designed and developed. As a result, Ergotech have total control over the production of thermoplastic material and polymer composites and both the Production and R&D DEPT can act quickly, if necessary, to improve or adjust the process.
Industry 4.0
At the beginning of the second millenium, the first automated production areas, which could communicate with the company net, were installed. It was the beginning of a centralised system that automatically and autonomously provided and managed raw materials for the production plant.
The system has developed since then and the different areas are increasingly interconnected. They can give the central system in real time the information related to the production and the central system, through proper stations, sends the operating instructions for the quality checks. The information can be used both by the Production and by the other company departments: Commercial DEPT, Quality DEPT, Administration and Logistics.
Thanks to this system, the interaction among researchers, engineers, toolmakers and moulding and metrology workers is steady and above all prompt: the perfect expression of the philosophy behind the idea of “Industry 4.0“.
